Thankyou!
Spring is in the air |
We are positively overwhelmed with the responses and new connections we are making. We hope as a community will continue to grow together. It has been wonderful to receive such encouraging and inspiring feedback from members of our community. Sara recently wrote to us and shared her thoughts about what we are doing “I would like to extend my gratitude for the CPD opportunities that School of PACT are offering. It is refreshing to see relevant training to support my work. Thank you”. |
This months top news
Spring is such a wonderful time of year… Gardens begin to come alive with new growth and energy. Here at the School of Play and Creative Therapies the metaphor of Spring is so relatable as we begin to announce some of our exciting new developments to enhance the menu of CPD opportunities already available.
Our much anticipated Once Upon A… Trilogy is being rolled out
Starting at Bristol. We have three days booked where we will look at,

What has been achieved in recent months
Whole School Approach to Trauma Training
The School of Play and Creative Therapies has delivered Trauma Training to 50 school staff. It was a fantastic opportunity to empower the team to help them understand what drives children’s behaviour and learn how they can connect, support and communicate with traumatised children. We have also been approached by other schools who are interested in this training.
A successful CPD training day with Dan Hughes
Dan Hughes, creator of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy
Dan Hughes, Part 1. Dan spent the day online with us and spoke about Providing Therapy and Care to Children and Youth with Problems due to Relational Trauma. He is such an inspiring person to listen to and his years of experience allowed him to communicate complex theories through stories and case studies. We are looking forward to Part 2 on the 8th June. If you missed part 1 don’t worry, Dan says you can still come to part 2. Good news! BOOK NOW
Something to ponder on...
I was looking at the terminology used by FaceBook. On the one hand they talk about friends which is a fantastic concept of closeness and relationship. On the other hand they talk about followers. For me this implies that someone is leading, They are in front, looking back. This is a relationship that somehow puts you ahead of your followers.
Now honestly I’m grateful to all the people who have followed us on FaceBook but would want to stress that we don’t know any more about the journey than you do and so we would like to welcome all our followers as friends and share the journey as a community, side by side, together, because after all, we all need friends.
Do you follow?

PACT Community shout out to…….Popeth
Rachel and Louise have just started a brand new company in south Wales called Popeth Collective.
As the proverb says, it takes a village to raise a child. Popeth is a child-led creative therapeutic hub, for the whole child and their village. Our most vulnerable and complex children need acceptance, empathy, consistency, and stability from their key adults to understand their world. At Popeth, we believe that the child and their relationships are central to the healing process.
