About the course
CREATE CARD DECKS
Using collage to make resources that can be used in your practice.
Join Carol for an inspiring and experiential half-day online course exploring the power of collage as a therapeutic and reflective tool. Designed specifically for play therapists, creative arts therapists, counsellors, and supervisors, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to start to build your own deck of personalised cards to use in clinical practice, supervision, and self-exploration.
Using images, colour, symbolism, words, and intuition, participants will begin to create a meaningful collection of cards that can support:
- Therapeutic conversations with clients
- Creative supervision and reflective practice
- Personal insight, grounding, and self-care
- Emotional expression and storytelling
- Exploration of themes, strengths, challenges, and inner resources
This hands-on course combines creativity, reflection, and professional development in a supportive and nurturing environment. No artistic experience is needed — only curiosity and openness to the creative process.
Carol worked as a community artist for 20 years, working with all age groups and abilities. This work led her to recognise the therapeutic value of creativity. She went on to train as a play therapist, starting in 2016 and qualifying in 2019. She has worked in private practice and currently works as a play therapist with neurodivergent children and young people with complex needs in a specialist provision.
Carol is a clinical supervisor, has an Advanced Diploma in Sand play and is currently studying the PACT Level 6 Relational Play and Creative Therapy for Young People.
In her spare time, she loves walking, swimming in rivers and the sea, dancing, reading, gardening and of course, she spends many happy hours making collages.
