We cannot believe how quickly time is passing! March has been busy, fun, and extremely inspiring.
We have had the joy of welcoming new students who have joined us to study our Level 6 Certificate in Relational Play and Creative Therapy for Young People, and our Level 7 Diploma in Relational Play and Creative Therapy for Children and Young People.
Eileen gave a talk on the differences between Play Therapy and Relational Play and Creative Therapy to students at Canterbury Christ Church University.
Our Creative Clinical Supervisors Level 7 Certificate qualification has received CpCAB accreditation. Many thanks to Emma Nagle for writing such a brilliant course for us. We have been delighted by the number of applications we have received.
We also had our first CpCAB External Verification Assessment visit. We are thrilled with the outcome, and the assessor’s complimentary feedback was a wonderful affirmation of the work we have done and continue to do. We would like to thank the student who met with the assessor.

Delivered part-time over one year, this course balances intensive learning with flexibility for busy professionals. You will develop the ability to establish and maintain effective supervisory relationships, respond creatively to complex clinical issues, and support supervisees’ professional growth through creative reflective practice. A strong emphasis on self-awareness, ethics, and professional standards ensures you can navigate relational, ethical, and challenges with confidence.

Something to ponder on...
There’s a particular kind of magic in the arrival of spring. Not the loud, drumming kind, but something quieter, almost hushed. One day the garden looks unchanged, still shrugging off winter, and the next almost without permission, there are shoots pushing through the soil, buds forming on branches, colour where there was none. It feels like a small, persistent reminder that life has been busy beneath the surface all along.
Gardens, in spring, are full of surprise and wonder. Not everything blooms at once, and not everything thrives in the same way. Some plants arrive early, bold and unapologetic. Others take their time, tentative, waiting for just the right conditions. There’s no rushing it, no convincing a closed bud to open before it’s ready. The gardener’s role is patient, attentive, and responsive providing the right environment, not forcing the outcome.
Working therapeutically with children and young people often feels much the same. Progress can be subtle, easily missed if we are only looking for dramatic change. A moment of eye contact, a shift in play, a new word chosen these are the first green shoots. They might seem small, but they carry the promise of something more.
Like spring, therapeutic work invites us to hold onto curiosity and hope. To trust that even when things appear still, something important may be unfolding out of sight. Children, especially those who have experienced disruption or loss, may need time, safety, and the right conditions before they begin to “bloom” in their own way.
Perhaps spring reminds us not to rush the process, but to notice, to wonder, and to celebrate each small sign of growth as it comes.
