About the course

Art and masks are a powerful combination of creative expression, enabling image and metaphor to emerge from the unconscious. This hands-on course offers you the opportunity to explore the therapeutic benefits of using art and creative expression to gain a deeper insight into our clinical work.

Come and visit Kempston in Bedfordshire to complete this wonderful day of creative expression with Jill.

Jill Cooper, MA

Jill Cooper has over thirty years’ professional experience of working with children, young people and their families. She has extensive experience of managing different services, including youth services, family support and domestic abuse services both for a local charity and a Local Government department (Children’s social care). Jill is passionate about making a difference to the lives of vulnerable children, young people and adults. Jill is an experienced adult educator and holds a formal adult teaching qualification alongside an internal assessor qualification. Jill has experience of teaching adults in the UK and internationally too. She is also an Adult Counsellor, Accredited Play Therapist and Clinical Supervisor. As her career progressed she became a Clay Therapist, Outdoor Play Therapist and is currently training to qualify as a Sand Play Therapist and within Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, so far reaching, level one.

This in an in person course. It course will take place in Kempston, Bedfordshire

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Examine and assess why art and creativity is a powerful form of expression 
  • Apply theoretical understanding of art to gain a deeper insight into the process.
